Winter has finally said its goodbye's around here. At least for now. But here we are - stuck in the middle of our first batch of open doors, and cut off t-shirts. Isn't it glorious? The sun's been shining and it's started feeling like summer. And summer makes me crazy. The good kind - the funny to watch kind. Hopefully, this weather will make the season come a bit faster.
Other than that, not much has happened lately.
I met up with my Momma and Sadie a couple weeks ago. Shortly after our hello's, I watched her turn around to go wash the lick marks off the windows and get rid of the couch Sadie's called hers for the past year or so. The Urbana clan finally gave her up and now she's livin' it up with some friends of ours blessing them with her ADD and her tail that could kill someone. I like having Sadie close by. It makes me all sorts of emotional, but at the end of the day I like it. She makes me think of our old walks. Just her, Chase, and I.
Chase : "What if someone comes and takes us?"
Me : "Then we'll just have to run. Won't we?"
Chase : "It's a good thing they only like pretty girls."
Me : "You sayin' I'm not pretty?"
Chase : "No, you are. You're fabulous. Like a rockstar......"
Or that one time we watched Tangled for the fifth time - in one day.
We got to the part when Rapunzel found out she was the lost Princess, and it went something like
Rapunzel : "I'm the lost princess. Aren't I?"
Chase : "YESS! FINALLY! STUPID."
I was missing it, so I called home last night. Chase answered. I mean, duh.
Chase : "Chloe, I'm seven and I'm a midget."
We talked about size, and homework, and video games, and Sadie - and then he read to me over the phone for a half hour. And I cried. He told me what colors the walls were in his story and what the characters were wearing.
Chase : "Chucks taylors and a hat. JUST A HAT!"
So for now, this is the end.
Thanks for putting up with the memory ramblings.
It will never probably happen again. Just sayin'.
